Dispatch 52 - Dabs - Subsidiary EP - Drum and Bass

Here we present an EP from arguably Italy's finest D&B producer. We never originally planned to do an EP but we became so stoked with the progression of the each track that this superb artist kept sending us that an EP slowly but surely started to make common sense!

Dabs gets started on what is gradually becoming a big one "Subsidiary" from which the entire EP takes its title. We've also drafted in a collab with another name on everyones lips too 'Amoss' join forces on "Stendhal", whilst K-Mag's one to watch for 2012 'Safire' goes to work alongside Dabs on "Time Carrier" to great effect. Last but not least Survival and label boss Ant TC1 go to work on an earlier release from Dabs along with Cern on their original track "Oh the Horror" who give the track a darker more jungle driven twist!

LOVE THIS ONE! Davide Rustici aka Dabs, is an italian exciting new talent in the new-school dnb camp. His dj attitude got himself to play all over Italy, Europe and Australia with his fresh funk drum and bass rhythms sets. As producer, he got his first releases on Basswerk in 2007. Winner of the prestigious italian contest Elettrowave Challenge 2008 as "best dnb italian dj-producer", he signed a brilliant single (Crawler - Weirdraws) on the notorious dutch label Citrus, receiving massive dj support all around the world.

That was followed by two 12" in collaboration with the kiwi legend Cern, on the mighty Leeds based Dispatch Recordings amongst other releases on Triple Vision's dutch group and other european labels. For 2011-12 the pipeline sees the heavily supported remix of 'Back In the Grind' with Cern, a solo 4 tracks EP on Dispatch, a single 12" on the respected Horizons Music (London) and some collabo's and remixes with the likes of Cause4Concern, Bulletproof, June Miller, Amoss and Future Signal to name but a few.

In the years he received big support from big artists like Laurent Garnier, Ed Rush & Optical, Andy C, Cause4Concern, Dj Marky, Chris.SU, State Of Mind to name but a few, and took care of a remix for the mainstream italian band Subsonica for EMI. 2011 is the year of the born for Avantgarde, his own label in co-ownewrship with the long time friend Grotesque. The first 12" will see the light in late 2011, with stars like the russian Enei and Heavy1 involved. Watch this space!
