Birmingham BMX Track is Open
The Birmingham BMX Club, Birmingham City Council and British Cycling would like to bring to your attention that the brand new Birmingham BMX Track is now fully open! The international standard bmx race track built by Clark and Kent contractors is ready to rock and roll for individuals, clubs, race events, school and youth groups, corporate events and even birthday parties!
Below is an outline of group booking information and attached is a leaflet / info sheet for people to print and put up or around centres / schools / places of work etc. Please feel free to forward this email on to other contacts or organisations that may be interested.
You can find out a bit more about the club by going ontowww.birminghambmxclub.co. uk or looking here; http://www. britishcycling.org.uk/bmx/ article/bmx20110620-bmx-BMX- Euros-0 or even watch amazing footage of us hosting a European race;

We are proud to offer in the day alternative education sessions from small one off taster sessions through to full in depth term long programmes aimed at getting young people participating in the sport of Bmx racing. Be it only during the session times or even in the long run, off their own back and who knows we may even find a possible Olympian, as BMX racing is now an Olympic discipline.
We will aim to educate riders with the knowledge of the skills required to safely get around a Bmx track, how to check and basically maintain a Bmx, through to competing in their first race or indeed training hard to take it more seriously or even assist in running a voluntary sports club.
The facility is a state of the art international standard Bmx race track built by the best track builders out there, Clark and Kent. It has a 5m high starthill with an amazing Bensink safety start gate and we even have a separate pro section on the second straight. It is suited to all abilities from beginner 4year olds through to the very top pro elite level racer.
The resources we offer are Bmx bikes, all safety checked, helmets, knee-shin guards, elbow guards and gloves. A coaching room, tuck shop, bike repair room, starthill canopy all to make the experience one of quality. We aim to take the sport of Bmx to the next level. If a whole day session is desired there is even a Subway restaurant next to the track that we can arrange a special deal with as they sponsor the club!
Times that group sessions are available are flexible but usually from 10:00am until 3:30pm. Normally we are looking at a minimum of 2hour sessions charged at £35-£40 per hour depending on group size and staffing requirements. For smaller groups this can be reduced in time / cost and of course block booking discounts are available. We can cater for a maximum group size of 16 in a group although presently we are restricted to 8 as we are awaiting delivery of more bikes and kit.
