Bowls!

After weeks of late nights and 7 day weeks, the long awaited bowl is now finished.
The bowl itself replaces the original mini-ramp which has been in Revolution for the past 13 years. This is the biggest indoor bowl in Kent and was designed and built by renowned ramp builder, Tim Hoy.

Building a bowl has been a dream at Revolution for some years now, but with the uncertainty about our lease hanging over our heads, we decided to shelve any plans until we were certain of our future. This has had the unforeseen benefit of giving us the time to research designs and create something quite unique.

The bowl opens up a whole new world at the Skatepark for everyone that rides here, giving countless variations of lines and tricks. The smaller companion bowl will be complete by Wednesday 11th May and has been placed close enough to the main bowl to enable people to be able to transfer between the two. At a depth of 4ft with an extension of 5ft, the bowl is suitable for all standards of user from beginners to professionals. We expect it to be the jewel in Revolution’s crown for many years to come.

Lastly, special thanks must go to the following people who gave up their own time to work on this project: Michael Smith, James Barnes-Miller, Ben Wilks, Joe Hubbard, Dev Benson, Matt Chapman, Adam Pau, Sam Johnson and many more whose support on this project has been invaluable.
