BOOM AND THE FAIR IS DONE!

THURSDAY 11TH – SUNDAY 14TH AUGUST 2011
SECRET LOCATION 60 MINS FROM LONDON / 10,000 CAPACITY FESTIVAL
TICKET PRICE: £93 - SOLD OUT

The third sold-out instalment of Boomtown Fair has left ‘Boomers’ crying out for more! With over 25 separate stages, 700 acts and 10,000 inhabitants; the Boomtown citizens came, saw and conquered the spiralling streets and venues, helping create Boomtown’s unique and unrivalled atmosphere.

Boomtown 2011 was created by 100’s of skilled and dedicated crew members, from the efforts of the sterling production team, to the creative visions of the onsite artists and sculptors’ they all managed to make a dream a reality and the alternative universe of Boomtown was reborn! So unique and different is the vibe of Boomtown that even the Godfather of festivals, Michel Eavis felt the need to pop by to give the festival his seal of approval and to take a peek at how the other half do it.

With so much packed into the small town the highlights were abundant; from the big headline antics of Gogol Bordello to the naughty shenanigans of the Arcadia crew in their custom built roaming ‘Bug’ stage. High jinks and mayhem were on the menu and the Boomtown folk lapped it up! The Bassline Circus was pumping, the Lion’s Den roaring and the Town Centre (Main Stage) pulsating with what felt like enough energy to power the sun!

Lak Mitchell and Chris Rutherford – Boomtown Organisers and Founders say:
“We would like to thank all our loyal and enthusiastic supporters. In a young and ambitious festival like Boomtown we are constantly trying to push the boundaries and expand our vision. Through this we are likely to run in to a few teething problems but with all the support we receive from the people who love and help Boomtown grow, together we can work on making this festival the perfect escapist, alternative event that we all aspire for it to be. Bring on 2012, we’ve only just begun!”

If the Boomtown blues are kicking in and just can’t wait to get the next a Boomtown fix, the Super Early Bird tickets going on sale in November and a series of pre-show Boom Balls will be popping up in selected UK cities. Watch this space for more information: http://www.boomtownfair.co.uk/
